Creativity is a slow and plodding process, not a flash of busyness
We often think of creatives as having flashes of brilliance, but when you really look at the habits of creative people, you find that they are actually quite slow to nurture ideas. Consider that Brian Eno has an archive (such a deep archive that he needed to invent a whole system to manage it) and his ideas and concepts emerge from this archive system of stuff he just makes through playing around every day.
