Creativity is a spiritual practice
it is possible that you can use creativity as a spiritual practice or a religious practice, as Brian Eno puts it. It’s something that causes resonances in other parts of your life. I’m really starting to lean into this idea that maybe what I need as a researcher, maybe what anyone needs as a researcher, is some form of practice, some form of creative practice that goes beyond just writing. You can’t write any research papers unless you consider that to be your creative practice, I guess. But more so like doing things that further your creativity and break you out of boxes could lead to advances in research, especially if you want to be the type of innovative researcher that I think many of us would like to be
