optimizing and taking shortcuts is a human thing to do

It’s important that we do not antogonize students for “cheating.” If a shortcut is available, students will take it. But, so would any person, even teachers (especially teachers!).

This is a really good argument for the practice of ungrading.

Also, how academic cheating is a cultural problem not an a technological one.

I also think about the question of assessment redesign.
