Sometimes you're supposed to be higher up
A friend and I were at a concert recently, and we had backstage passes. The passes also allowed us to sit in roped off parts of the venue.
We sat down in what we thought was our designated sitting area, and someone informed us that we were actually in the wrong area. The real sitting area for someone with our passes was much farther up, more isolated, and more private. The most private place to watch the show that you could get to in this venue.
It made me think: sometimes, you think you’re lower on a totem pole than you actually are. The impostor syndrome, the self doubt, and the second guessing are all variables.
Sometimes other people see your true status before you do.
Pay attention to where you’re sitting.
