The Energy of Emo Music is Teen Energy

I recently joined a facebook group that is all about 90’s and 00’s emo and grunge music, which is the kind of music I grew up on.

Lots of bands mentioned that I’d never heard of before, despite long hours surfing Amazon reviews and being friends in college with one of the biggest emo fans I’ll ever know.

There’s something about the music and the guitars that is hard to describe in words, but if I could, I’d call it…

• Streaky
• Swathing
• Energizing
• Adrenaline-inducing

And come to think of it, those are the exact feelings I’d describe coursing through my 19 year old veins.
