This is something that Benjamin Riley wrote in his newsletter addressing my question.
If you’re already driven, you will thrive, but the opposite is true.
If you aren’t as motivated, you will become even less motivated.
So, the question is, how do we create that initial spark, and early?

So, in a future where AI is ubiquitous in schools (shudder), the students who are most vulnerable are the ones who are not intrinsically motivated to learn, in part because they have less background knowledge than their peers, and therefore will be the most likely to cognitively automate their education.
